The Charlestown Rathskeller started out as a speakeasy in a different time, and has grown into something entirely unique since then. Nestled in the woods of Charlestown since 1933, the Charlestown Rathskeller is one of the most memorable dining and entertainment destinations in Southern New England.

We serve deliciously grilled steaks, local seafood, burgers and sandwiches in our meticulously restored dining room and tavern, beautiful outdoor patio, and at our indoor and outdoor bars.

Just across the restaurant’s backyard sits our rustic outdoor music and entertainment venue. Down Back, our summer stage, backyard bar and burger shack surround a roaring bonfire on cool summer nights. Guests from all over New England descend on the Charlestown Rathskeller for concerts featuring some of the best party, pop, rock and country acts in the region.
