For musical events, seating is first-come, first-served festival-style seating. A ticket does not reserve a table or specific seat for you.

The Charlestown Rathskeller “Downback” is a premier destination for live music in Southern Rhode Island. Our beautiful, wooded park-like grounds feature patio seating for the restaurant, bocce, cornhole and more.

Every weekend from May to October the Rathskeller hosts concerts and events on the Downback Stage featuring some of the best entertainers from New England as well as nationally touring acts. Spacious wooded grounds, a huge fire pit, two fully stock bars and the Downback Burger Shack make for an epic summer night experience. Our spacious tent is also the site of our annual Art Show and Halloween bash events, and is the perfect venue for all your private functions, from corporate gatherings to fundraisers and private parties.
